Stopped here on a whim while on a roadtrip with my husband (VA -> RI) and wow. Glad we did! 10/10 experience all around. Had the fish tacos for an appetizer; they were extremely fresh, light and flavorful. Had the lobster rolls for lunch and WOW. My first time having them and they will be hard to beat. To top it off, our server was AMAZING! We don't know when we'll be back but best believe we will one day
Fried shrimp was very good. Generous portion of shrimp and fries, small side of coleslaw. Nice view of the ocean while sitting g outside. Friendly staff, quick service good variety of food on the menu. Overall price was reasonable for 2 with a couple of drinks.
If you're ever in the New Haven East Haven area you need to come to Sandpiper restaurant it's directly across the street from the beach and it has an outdoor area with a roof over it so you can sit here even if it's raining and the staff is amazing The food is fantastic too You find it.
We sat outside and were very comfortable. Great wait staff. Lots of menu options. The scallops and stuffed shrimp and broiled scroll were excellent. Salads were great. Baked potatoes were especially good flavored and perfectly done. Reasonably priced. I highly recommend this restaurant
